PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZONA
Eclectic in provenance, South India and Colorado, our clients were influenced by Feng Shui principles. The exterior entry gate adapts a tapestry meaning "heavenly blessings;" and the interior seating is strategically positioned around a center column that contains positive chi. Many of the furnishings they brought with them were adapted for new uses; the kitchen seating and eating table had been their patio furniture. A triptych of the Grand Canyon is prominently displayed in the Great Room to reflect their appreciation and affection for their new Arizona residence. Cantilevered glass shelves flank the opening between the Great Room and the Kitchen displaying their collection of wood objects. The blending of organic and luxurious fabrics create a rustic but refined interior. The fusion of ethnic artifacts with transitional furnishings reflects their global travels and interests.
